 We have been Project Managers and timber subcontractors with HearthStone Log & Timber Frame Homes since 1987. Hearthstone is the premier manufacturer of log homes and timber frame homes. Located in East Tennessee, our architects can provide breathtaking log home and timber frame home plans from our collection, or even from your designer's conventional home plan.
We can work with your general contractor and architect to provide complete log or timber frame home "dry-in" services or timber entries, great rooms, additions, gazebos, garages, pavilions, and other structures.
Hearthstone is dedicated to making available to the public what we believe in: Traditional custom American-made products of uncommon character. Our products are rich with a magical aura and a quiet dignity that makes eyes widen, imaginations spin, and people realize that pride, respect, and craftsmanship still exist in the American marketplace.
While we sell primarily in North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, we can sell virtually anywhere in the world. We have sold and serviced timber frame commercial and residential buildings in places as diverse as Charlotte NC, Beaufort SC, Jackson, MS and the furniture market of High Point NC.
TIMBER FRAME: HearthStone can provide a white pine timber frame either planed smooth or hand hewn or an oak timber frame dressed and planed with chamfered edges. Our standard posts are 8x8 with girders, plates and rafters of 8x10 or larger, depending on spans and engineering requirements. We also offer a 2” dimensional upgrade on timber frame products for “super-sizing.” We can also use West Coast Douglas Fir or East Coast Cypress.
 Our traditional drilled mortise and pegged Timber Frame packages include full working drawings, timber and panel engineering and a comprehensive inclusion of product and services including tongue and groove decking and erection services.
We have a super-sized timber frame in Wilkesboro, NC to show—the larger timbers really look fabulous!
LOG: HearthStone Homes offers the traditional 6” x 12” Appalachian Style Log and also the 6” x 14,” 8” x 14,” 8” x 16” Timberwright® and the “live edge” Bob Timberlake® log systems, which follows the natural contour of the tree. The “Walterboro Lodge” in our HearthStone photo gallery is an example of the Bob Timberlake Log Home System.
Our unique handcrafted log homes include full working drawings, an engineered through-bolt system and a comprehensive inclusion of product and services such as stain, chinking, insulation, tongue and groove decking and erection services.
